I grew up in small town rural Ohio. I went to a county school and graduated with less than 120 people (which I never knew was a small class size until I went to college to become a teacher). I grew up through 4-H, spent my summers outdoors, and weekends camping with my family. I knew and understood the ‘country’ lifestyle and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Farming, however, was not something in my wheelhouse of knowledge. I had friends who grew up on farms and I remember watching ‘cow TV’ when I would stay at their house, but that was the only farm exposure I got. To me, it was just the beautiful scenery we drove by on our way to school.

That all changed when I met my [soon to be] husband, Blake, who is a 4th generation farmer. This blog, The Farm Wife Life, will be my story of how I have learned to be a farm wife, adapted to the farming lifestyle, and stories of the fun and laughter along the way.
